On 15 July 2005, at the 29th session of the World Heritage Committee in Durban, South Africa, a decision was taken to include the unique Struve Geodetic Arc (No. 1187) in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The 34 dots, marked in the territories of ten countries with special signs made of metal or stone, are reminiscent at the beginning of the 19th century of the internationally organized meridian arc surveying works. They significantly influenced the further development of science and helped to determine the exact size and shape of the Earth.

In Latvia, the geodetic points "Jēkabpils" and "Sestukalns" are not only a part of the state geodetic network, but also significant historical monuments, the preservation of which for future generations meets the interests of all mankind. To accomplish this task requires a public understanding of the importance of cultural heritage and a desire to preserve it.
The brochure in Latvian and English on 16 pages provides information on the most important regulatory enactments in the protection of geodetic points and cultural monuments, as well as introduces the history of this significant World Heritage Site in Latvia.
The authors of the brochure are the State Inspection for the Protection of Cultural Monuments and the Latvian Geospatial Information Agency.

Coordinate catalog of 1st and 2nd class geodetic points of the Republic of Latvia - Riga: VZD. 2002.

The catalog is published to provide all information about the 1st and 2nd class of the GPS national geodetic network in an easily accessible way.
The work includes a total of 718 points, of which 45 are core network (class 1) and 673 filling network (class 2) points. The number of core network points includes four base or class C points, also called class 0 points: Arājs, Indra (reduced), Kangari and Rīga.

Katalogs sastāv no 7 grāmatām: pirmajā koordinātu saraksts un shēma, pārējās punktu kroki. 
The catalog contains the coordinates of the state geodetic points in the official coordinate system LKS-92, which was introduced on the basis of the LR MP decision no. 213 "On the Transition to the Latvian Geodetic Coordinate System".
Elevations above sea level are given in the 1977 Baltic normal altitude system.

The catalog has been published for the first time and in the future it can be supplemented, clarified and improved. Users of the catalog are kindly requested to inform the Department of Geodesy about current changes.

Coordinate catalog of 3rd class geodetic points of the Republic of Latvia for the North Kurzeme region - Riga: VZD, 2004.

The catalog is published to provide all information about the 3rd class of the national geodetic network in a convenient, accessible way. The work includes a total of 343 North Kurzeme region 3rd class points. The coordinates of all points are determined by the GPS method
The catalog consists of 4 books: in the first a list of coordinates and a diagram, the rest of the point folds.
The catalog contains the coordinates of the state geodetic points in the official coordinate system LKS-92, which was introduced on the basis of the LR MP decision no. 213 "On the transition to the Latvian geodetic coordinate system"
Elevations above sea level are given in the 1977 Baltic normal altitude system.

Coordinate catalog of 3rd class geodetic points of the Republic of Latvia for Vidzeme region - Riga: LGIA, 2006.

Katalogs izdots, lai ērti, pieejamā veidā sniegtu visu informāciju par valsts ģeodēziskā tīkla 3. klasi. Darbs ietver pavisam 877 Vidzemes reģiona 3. klases punktus. Visu punktu koordinātas ir noteiktas ar GPS metodi. 
Katalogs sastāv no 7 grāmatām: pirmajā koordinātu saraksts un shēma, pārējās punktu kroki. 
Katalogs satur valsts ģeodēzisko punktu koordinātas oficiālā koordinātu sistēmā LKS-92, kura ieviesta, pamatojoties uz LR MP 1992. gada 4. jūnija lēmumu Nr. 213 „Par pāreju uz Latvijas ģeodēzisko koordinātu sistēmu”. 
Augstumi virs jūras līmeņa doti Baltijas 1977. gada normālo augstumu sistēmā.

Katalogs ir izdots pirmo reizi un nākotnē to iespējams papildināt, precizēt un pilnveidot. Kataloga lietotājus par aktuālām izmaiņām lūdzam informēt Ģeodēzijas departamentu.

The book is published with the aim to provide future specialists with basic knowledge in geodesy, without which it is difficult to understand the essence of modern geodetic instruments and modern advanced surveying technologies. It deals with general concepts related to geodesy, geodetic measurements and the tools used in them, types and methods of surveying, their application in some sectors of the economy. The most widespread modern geodetic instruments - electronic tachymeters, digital levels, global positioning instruments, etc. - are re-examined. -, describes their operating principles and application in geodesy.

Designations for a topographic map at a scale of 1:10 000. Second edition.

The designations are intended for implementation and use in the structural units of the Latvian Geospatial Information Agency (LGIA) and subcontractors, which are engaged in the production and renewal of a topographic map in the scale of 1:10 000.
The designations have been developed by the Cartography Department of the LGIA. The second edition is based on the "Designations for a topographic map in the scale of 1:10 000" issued in 2000.
