Seminar "Topical information about the local geodetic network and the new elevation system EVRS"

In November 2014, LGIA, in cooperation with the planning regions of Kurzeme, Zemgale, Vidzeme, Latgale and Riga, organized seminars for local governments to provide information on current issues related to the local geodetic network and the transition to the new altitude system in the country.

Representatives of local governments were introduced to the operation of the improved Local Geodetic Network Database and improvements, which are mainly related to the approval of points of the improved geodetic network.

The seminar also provided information on the transition to the new height system LAS-2000.5 from 1 December 2014. Clarifications were provided on the possibilities for altitude recalculation and the practical steps for holders of High Level Topographic Information (ADTI) data to be able to issue data already in the new altitude system from 1 December 2014. Out of 119 municipalities, 66 representatives of municipalities attended the seminar.
